"How do Fortune 500 companies pay zero in taxes while college loans go up to 6 percent?…This game is rigged."
Elizabeth Warren, speaking at a town hall in Massachusetts (via newshook)
Fortune 500 companies pay zero taxes in some years because pre-tax net operating losses can be carried back two years and forward up to 20 years. The loss is applied against earnings until it is exhausted. It’s called the federal tax code, maybe Warren should check it out.
